This summer, we travelled to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska and Iowa buying tokens and coins. Last year, we were in New York, New Jersey, Delaware Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin. We are still trying to get all the tokens listed from three years ago we bought in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado, because it takes a LOT of time to list all of them!
In the past few years, the price for arcade tokens has gone through the roof as people are recognizing their value as pieces of art and a source of nostalgia. Most buyers are not traditional coin collectors, they want to hold tokens from the arcades they visited as kids in their hands again or they just recognize the importance and value of these cultural artifacts.
